The Ultimate Commuter Guide to Oracle Park for Giants Games

Summer in the Bay Area means one thing: baseball season is in full swing. If you are heading to Oracle Park to watch the San Francisco Giants, driving into the city and paying for $40+ parking is the last thing you want to do. Here is your ultimate commuter guide to taking Caltrain to the game.

The Closest Station to Oracle Park

The beauty of Caltrain is that the final northbound stop, the San Francisco Station (4th & King), is located just one block away from Oracle Park. Once you step off the electric train, it’s a short, scenic 5-minute walk to the stadium gates alongside hundreds of other fans.

Post-Game Express Trains

Caltrain knows how busy game days get. Usually, they run special post-game express trains that depart 15-25 minutes after the last out. These trains skip local stops and get you back to the Peninsula and South Bay much faster.

  • Pro Tip: Buy a Day Pass on your Clipper Card before you board. The ticket machines at 4th & King get incredibly crowded after the game ends.
  • Food & Drinks: You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks on the train. Make it a pre-game picnic!

Skip the Bay Bridge traffic, relax in the air-conditioned electric fleet, and enjoy the game!
